So, I had a bit of a Penny Reid month in November. I also reread Ten Trends to Seduce Your Bestfriend by Penny Reid this month but didn’t include it in the wrap-up. It was awesome and I loved it just as much as I did the first time.

Savaged by Mia Sheridan
This is essentially a Tarzan retelling in a contemporary setting with a nefarious backstory. It was an intriguing book and although it is a romance it focuses mostly on the suspense plot. It was an interesting enjoyable mystery but I wanted a bit more from the romance.

Two Wrongs Make a Right by Chloe Liese
Sweet and lovely and such fun to read. It’s a retelling of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing which I haven’t read or seen so I have no idea how it compares. As a contemporary romantic comedy with fake-dating, I really enjoyed it. It’s the perfect feel-good read.

Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid
Not my favourite from Reid but I still really enjoyed it. It’s not quite as polished as her later books but definitely worth a read as an introduction to this series. It might be just not I’m not a fan of the super-rich alphahole male main character…. He was nice but not for me.

Head Over Feet by Ever-So-Reylo (Ali Hazelwood)
This is the fanfiction that Hazelwood originally wrote that inspired The Love Hypothesis. They are almost identical except for characters, one or two scenes and subplots. There is a subplot in The Love Hypothesis that annoyed the absolute crap out of me but having read this fanfiction I can see why it was necessary to add it. I’m not going to say I preferred it to The Love Hypothesis but I did prefer the story without that element.

Kissing Tolstoy by Penny Reid
This story (and the following book) was originally available to subscribers of Reid’s newsletter which I highly recommend joining if you enjoy her books. This is one of those books that I loved but I can’t think of anything to say about it other than that I loved it…. The main reason I don’t write reviews very often is because all I can think of to say about a book is that it’s awesome! Anyone else have this problem???? It drives me crazy!

Kissing Galileo by Penny Reid
As with the book above, I really enjoyed this but have little to say…. What held this one back from being a 5-star was that the romance was a bit too slow for me. One thing I found very interesting about this book is the representation of huge weight loss, obesity in men (which you never really see in romance books) and how people perceive heavier people.

Seasonal Romances | Christmas 2022 TBR
As I said on Tuesday, I’m terrible at sticking to TBR’s but these are some festive books I would like to read over Christmas. I’m not expecting to get through all of the books I want to read this month, but I’d be really happy with reading at least three of these. Pretty hard to…
